Genre: Alt-Rock

I wrote “Live Again” at 4am. The Lord kept me awake until I finally grabbed my phone and wrote the first verse and the chorus. The song is a call to the person stuck in their own shame to reach out to God and be free. The verses are taken from my own story. I have questioned life, yet I still cling to it, so I thought I was fine. Then I read Ecclesiastes 7:16-17, and I realized I was actually destroying myself in another way. Verse 16 inspired the pre-chorus. Sometimes when I write songs from personal experience, I write them in a storybook manner as a means to disassociate them from myself. In this song, the girl is in her own world, the tonal duality in the verse melody showing both the whimsical side and the darker statements. The chorus breaks the fourth wall to call her out of it into new life with God.
