“The God of All Grace” is taken directly from my favorite passage in the Bible, 1 Peter 5:6-11, and the bridge is inspired by 1 Peter 4:12-19. Our spiritual battles are real, and our enemy is always attempting to cause us to lose our hope and faith in God. We have to remember that we are not alone in our trials; our fellow believers face them too. Struggles are hard to work through, but we must trust that God is working all things for His glory and will strengthen and support us. The melody in the chorus travels upward in sequence to express the sovereignty of God. The bridge’s rhyme scheme was difficult to upkeep, especially as I added more stanzas, but the challenge was worth it to complete the song with everything I wanted to say.
